Corn Maze and Future Events

Well guys, it looks like going to a corn maze isn't going to happen. Apparently, all the corn mazes in the area have already closed down for the winter. So... what are some other good ideas of events we can do? There was some talk earlier about a movie night. In addition, it would be great to hear what times would work best for you.

If your wondering what I'm doing on here, I've volunteered to coordinate activities for the class. I'm thinking we should do something at least every two months. Also, if we could get an event planning team of maybe three or four people that would be great. Responsibility will most likely be pretty small and would vary depending on the event.

thanks for doin this jimmy! might i suggest a trip to one of maryland's "middle-of-nowhere" hiking spots??? i dunno, maybe not even hike... just eat : )

I like the idea of hiking. There's a great place right around where the Coopers live, some national park. Do any of you Brigade people remember Chimney Rock? I just went up there a couple of weeks ago, and it's just as fun now as it was then. Lots of good hiking trails and cool rock things to climb all over and make fools of ourselves on :-P So I'm up for that, although I think it would be a better idea now to wait until spring because it's pretty cold now.

If we did a movie night, where would we watch it? I think Taylor's living room is big enough. And what movie would we watch?

my living room might be big enough, but sam's living room is soo much more cozy with 30 people. (he always invites other people over to my house) seriously, i just asked my mom and she would be open to that. in her own words, "thumbs up." just lemme know.

Awesome Taylor!

A dinner sounds great too. I'm just wondering what kind of thing you were thinking of, Emily.

Thanks so much Jimmy for taking initiative to be the organizer! It shows your servant's heart.

sweet. Get the girls together to make a feast for the guys. It's perfect. Great idea Lauren. Really, I am totally for that.

Let's see... Have y'all been to Zios off of Shady Grove Road. That has some of the best pizza ever and some of the best apetizers ever.

Just to throw something out, is anyone planning a senior christmas party?

my mom suggests a smorgasbord along with the movie. Ya know, like everybody brings something...EVERYBODY brings something. Yeah, i'm referring to guys. and just in case you think me a hypocrite, i'll take anybody on in a bake-off. i might not win, but at least i'll do it. no, i do not think it womanly to cook (peter) and no, i have no shame in bringing something I made to a party. even if nobody eats it : ( watchout, sam b. and i can make a killer bean&cheese dip : )

i know, i'm commenting too much on this post, but i figure that this'll be the only senior blog i get : )

A cohort and i were thinking about doing a "most likely to..." or "most blahblahblah person" (you know what i'm talking about) list. would you all email me (taylor@arenagraphics.com) a "most likely to..." for each senior (you might not know everybody but just try) and the unnamed cohort and i will pick the best ones and announce the list at the movie night. sound good? thanks!

All the ideas so far have been great, thanks everyone. If it's all right with you all, why don't we do the movie night first.

I'm game for doing the smorgasbord thing but I'm a little concerned I'll accidentally poison all of you. What do you guys think? One other thought is we could all chip in for pizza.

Huge thanks to the Lutz family for being so willing to host the movie night. Taylor your basically the man right now so blog all you want. Do you think your family would be okey with us doing it on Friday Nov. 18? Anyone else know if that date will/won't work?

P.S. Yes lets definately do the "most likely to..." list!

Wait a minute Nov. 18 is a Saterday. Change that to Friday Nov. 17

yeah, i was gonna say...
i'm the lone ranger tonight, but i'll ask my parents first thing in the morning. adios!

Two things: 1) Friday night is Godspell until 7, so it would have to be after that.

2) I am just about to send out a form for the "most likely's" (also known as "Senior Superlatives", so feel free to reply to the email with your answers to me and Dave and T, but just make sure they get to me.

Taylor said...

please send your serious ones to sam, and the funny ones to me and dave : P

and after godspell is fine. oh, what movie are we watching??? this could prove very difficult.

Well, it would have to be something no one would have a problem with. What does everyone think of "The Village"? All you cultured people are going to have to give me a lot of help here.

Unknown said...

Send all of them to me and taylor and david...funny and serious. Since I'm the one with blog control, taylor and david can't do anything with the stuff you send them, so if you actually want anything done with your bright ideas, make sure they make it to me.

and the village is okay, but not my favorite. So first, let's narrow down the genre. Do you guys want a comedy or an action movie? If it's an action movie, do you want a war movie or a fantasy movie or some other kind?
