Movie Night

Okay everyone, Taylor has proposed having a movie night at his house this Friday the 17th at 7:30 (for you Godspell people, rehearsal ends at 5:30). So who would be able to come to that? What movie would everyone like to watch? We could watch an action movie, a comedy, a war movie, a fantasy movie...it's up to you guys. Let's throw some movies into the ring.

By the way, Ice Age 2 is out on video now...just a thought.

Action or war movies work for me.

Ice Age 2 was a HORRIBLE movie. It was just... uh... stupid. Nothing else to say. It was all a big failure.

Long shot here, I really loved the movie blackhawk down and could stand to see it again. yeah, probably not.

Saints and soldiers was a good war movie. completely clean and pretty much squeemish-friendly.

I've seen and edited version of Troy and that's a phenomenal movie if it's edited.

I've heard a lot about Kingdom of Heaven and still haven't seen it yet. That could be cool.

I've also heard a lot about Oceans 12 and haven't seen it. So I sort of want to.

Ocean's 12 is not that good, not really worth it. Blackhawk Down is definitely out, way too graphic.

Ocean's 11, on the other hand, is great if you skip past one or two scenes. And Over the Hedge is supposed to be really funny too.

Let's try and avoid graphic war movies, okay guys?

Yeah, I'm thinking we want to stay away from war movies in general (fantasy stuff not included) just because 2/3 of our class is girls and my personal experience is that girls don't typically go for that kind of thing.

AAH back on here for the 1st time in like 3 months...

thx taylor!

yup Black Hawk Down...completely awesome movie that's rated R for graphic (really) and (lots) of language. so yeah.

ack, I refuse to see Over the Hedge again, Sam! I'd love to see the *edited* version of Troy tho...

ya'll might want to send an email since like hardly anyone (including myself) ever checks this anymore...

Well, I'm totally for a little holiday movie action (haha rudolph!!) but it's a tad early.

Sooo, other than that, maybe we could shoot for the classics? I'm always up for a little Cary Grant or Audrey ;D

Hey, how about Roman Holiday? That's both of them! And it's really funny...I'd really like to watch that now.

Lydia Jane said...

I think Roman Holiday is with Gregory Peck...

but i love that movie :)

Kate said...

Oh yeah thats a great movie! I think I can go, just need to know if its actually happening

Kate said...

and Roman Holiday is Gregory Peck

Unknown said...

Lol, I should have known that. What movie am I thinking of, then, that has Cary and Audrey? I'd still like to watch Roman Holiday, though. Or maybe Bringing Up Baby--that's Cary and Katherine. Totally hilarious.

somebody just pick! i have a feeling nobody will remember what movie we watched (here comes the sappy part) but, instead, they will remember the wonderful time they had with their friends. that's my emo advise for the day : )

see you guys saturday,
taylor

Good idea, guys. I'm picking the movie, and I think I have it down to three action movies: Frequency, Batman Begins, and The Great Raid. Does anyone own any of these?

Kate said...

Yeah, honesty it doesn't matter what we watch. oh and Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn are in Charade. Kind of a weird movie... :)
Oh Sam, we have the Great Raid and We Were Soldiers (both great movies I've heard!)

pedro del piero said...

we were soldiers: great movie, very powerful, and very graphic. It's also got a bunch of army language.

I've never seen the Great Raid and I'd love to.
