Dear Seniors and Parents:
I'm willing to help facilitate a trip to NY for the FSP Senior Class. I'm looking for your ideas of what you would like to do while in NY. I checked into the Wicked show, but it was sold out into July. Beauty & The Beast is a fantastic show! Steve & I saw it on Broadway and it was so much better than the one that came recently to the National theatre. So let me know if you’d like to see that show.(We would need to order ASAP I’m shooting for Thursday 1/5 if NY is a go). The dates we are looking to go are Friday April 27th-Saturday April 28t. The dates were chosen to be after the Godspell show for obvious reasons plus a weekend that had no other CLC family meeting, 10:31 meetings and avoids Spring breaks of CLC & MC, which after all that didn’t leave many options left.
One idea is to leave Friday afternoon after 3pm travel to Red Bank, NJ (~4 hours )or thereabouts(staying in NJ would keep hotel costs down). We could have dinner on the boardwalk or in red bank (lots of good restaurants there) take a walk on a Jersey boardwalk or beach. In the morning, we could take the Red Bank train into the city. We would arrive around 10Am see NY for about 3 hours. Travel groups could be formed around desired itineraries. At 2PM we could catch the matinee Broadway show of Beauty & the Beast ($85 premium seats, $60 rear Mezzanine, $40 too far away to see). There could be an optional itinerary for those not wanting to see Beauty & the Beast. We could meet for dinner at 5P in NY or take the train back & have dinner at Broadway Burgers in Red bank before heading back home, arriving in Gaithersburg around 1AM. We are trying to keep this cost to be less than $190. We are still looking into transportation options. The vans at CLC are not available. Got any ideas?
So what I need to hear form you on is: Do you want to NY? If so, how many parents would be going? If NY is not where you would like to go, please give me some other ideas that include no more than I night away (Friday-Sat.) & cost less than $180 per person. I'm hoping to get your feedback on the above ideas by this Monday 1/23/07. I'm assuming the objectives are to do a memorable event together plus have FUN and of course be open to whatever God’s agenda may be! You could e-mail me privately (YWyzga@comcast.net)if you prefer not to comment on this Blog.
Looking forward to your responses,
Mrs.Wyzga :)

Oh man. I'd love to go and would go out of my way to make sure I have the money. My parents also think that I'd be able to go provided that I have the money.
Is it outside the realm of possibility to go use our own vehicles to carpool down? We have an eight seated van plus a ton of room for luggage.
Would the $190 include Beauty and the Beast? What does the cost include?
My parents don't think they'd be able to go.
Thanks for getting this together. I can't wait for this to happen
I'll hopefully probably be able to go, and that sounds like a blast. Mrs. Mays loved Beauty and the Beast too, so I'd love to see that.
Thanks Mrs. Wyzga!! It looks like i can go, and i'd like to see Beauty and the Beast =)
Also i agree with pete, can we use ppl's vans to carpool there? road trips are fun =D
Thanks so much for organizing this event Mrs. Wyzga. $180 is within my price range so hopefully I'll be able to come. NYC sounds great to me! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like my parents would be able to come.
mmm. sound good mrs. wyzga. thanks for doing this! still gota see about the kaching (ya know with NA in all). but all the stuff you said sounds good : )
Uh...sorry about the confusion...I think some people got my comment misunderstood...I love the ideas and I really wish I could go...but I won't be able to make it...I apologize to whoever was offended...love the Wyzgas!
I meant that I hated the fact that I wouldn't be able to make it... :)
