- Give us your three choices for your graduation speaker and why.
- Should we do a senior trip or several special activities throughout the year? Whichever you choose, give us your ideas for trips and/or activities.
- Do the girls want white or black graduation gowns? (sorry guys, you all get black, hope you're not disappointed)

Graduation Speaker
Okay guys, we talked about this at the meeting, so here's what we'd like you to tell us:

Speaker:
(1) Claude Allen, because he's been so successful and is such a godly example of a man in a position of leadership that is incredibly humble
(2) Mike Bullmore, because he's so passionate about God's Word and God's glory
(3) Gene Edward Veith (for those of you who don't know, he's one of the clearest Christian thinkers on culture in the world), because he has such an amazing perspective on the world and is such a godly guy.
I also vote for one big senior trip, and I want to go to New York. And maybe we could also do something small, like tour D.C. for a day or even just hang out at Nike Missile.
Well, I only have one speaker and it's Mr. B. I know you some of you want somebody new and diferent and I get your point, but he's made a HUGE impact on the way I've viewed the world these past two years and I'd really love to have him there as our speaker.
And I definitely vote for one big TRIP to NYC. Here's why: A trip means going somewhere big and different. If we want to see each other outside of class I suggest having small little-to-no-cost gatherings at a park, movie nights somebody's house, or whatever. I'd be happy to organize them myself. Why pass up the opportunity to go on a trip? Especially a cliche, over-referenced, "senior" trip. It's too good. ;)
Oh, and white is lovely.
1) Mr. Mahaney
2) Mr. Scott Somerville
3) Mr. B
And I definitely vote for one large trip.
Concerning the speaker, I'm going to have to agree with what Lauren said at the meeeting: "Let's get somebody new." As much as I respect Mr. B, Mr. Mahaney, Mr. Harris, and all those other pastors and teachers, and value all the amazing ways they have impacted our lives, I think there are two main benefits to getting a different, new speaker.
1) We have been under the teaching of Mr. B and Mr. Harris and all the rest for years, and they have basically given us a lot of graduation advice already. If they gave the graduation speech, they would probably say a whole lot of the things we've heard them say many times before (I'm thinking specifically of Mr. B here). As valuable as that advice still is, it would be much easier to not pay attention because we've heard it all before, whereas we would not have that comfortability (not really a word, but it works) with a new, outside speaker.
2) Less importantly, but still worth some consideration, it has been a U.S. high school tradition for over 50 years (maybe a lot more, I'm not sure) to have an outside speaker come in for graduation. I think that tradition has to count for something.
So I think that we should go for someone new.
I should add that I'm not saying that Mr. B and co. should not be involved in the ceremony at all. There are plenty of things that they could do without being the main speaker.
I really have NO idea, but what other people have said sounds good!
1. Al Molher cause I'm pretty sure he's really smart 8 )
2. Dr. Robert Vigil (he really is a Dr.!) cause he's Sammy's dad and that's gotta count for something! He is also a very sucessful businessman in love with the Lord.
3. Thabiti Anyabwila (gave the "But God..." message a while back) cause he's definitely new. Also cause... well, he's godly, he has his own church, and he's just plain cool!
I vote one big trip (NOT NYC) and then a bunch of other FREE small stuff. Like Lyd said, movie/game nights which I can have here at my place or other shindigs. (Monty Python Night @ Sam's but don't tell him, just show up : )
Well, since I just joined the whole graduation07 group and i'm still trying to figure out things I really don't have an opnion. Mr. Harris sounds good and Mr. Mahaney but I'm fine with anything.
I definetely think we should do some small free trips and then one big trip! Sounds like so much fun!
As for the gowns... well i'm not sure. I mean i like white but we also have to think about what Aunt Rita was sayign last night abou thtem being basically sheer and we would have to wear white dresses under them. But either way... sounds good!
hey guys,
i threw together this video of pictures from the partay shindig in about 30 minutes so it's NOT very well thought out. i just tried to get them up there.
try to get past the low quality and enjoy seeing yourself! (for some reason that always makes me happy : )
http://www.dropshots.com/TFlubb
robby! niiiccee...but i'm thinking european cruise - greece, italy, the works. okay, later tonight i will actually post something helpful, but i'm gonna eat now!
Thanks for the song recommendation, Lauren. We need good ideas for songs to pass on to my brother for the slideshow.
to ALL: I put up the pictures me, brittany, etc. took on my camera. You can see 'em here: http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f248/thecornerchair/Senior%20Class%20Picnic/
yeah man id be willing to sacrifice college for a cruise :D.....no really! lol jk
Sam, right on, mike bullmore would be a great choice and T, thabitie (spelling lol) would be awesome but isnt he in the bahamas now or something. Another name to kick out there is Kenny Lynch, he spoke back in our freshy year on pride and proverbs, great message amazing truth. i guess the only other person i'd want to speak is Clinton Portis....prob not but still we can ask ;)
Hey! Clinton Portis would be cool. I change my first vote to Clinton Portis.
Oh def. one big trip! and i like the idea of still getting together and doing random stuff...
and g i r l s, the only two times in your life you can wear all white is your wedding and your graduation! So I think white's better ;)
opps! i forgot mr. thabiti was where ever d-sav said he was. for some reason, i thought he was in dc. since i therefore have an empty prefrence slot, i'll have to say clinton portis : ) no seriously, i agree with dave. kenny lynch. did kenny roy ever do it???
O come on. Clinton Portis isn't that crazy. We might as well ask him to come. Or at least for 30 autographs.
Yeah, I'd really like to be addressed by Mr. Mahaney. I hold to my first vote. There is no one I know who has a greater passion for the gospel than him and there is scarcely anyone I know who has invested so much in all of us, with the exception of our youth pastors.
Speakers:
(1) George W. Bush
(2) Arnold the Governator
(3) A former graduate
(4) The Bush Impersonator from the Orlando church who came to WorshipGod06
Class Trip:
(1) Iraq
(2) North Pole
(3) the moon
(4) Skydiving
(5) Krypton
okay, who is purple monkey? It would be nice if everyone had some way of identifying themselves so we know who we're talking to.
I agree with lauren about all the little trips... we definetely need to get together as a class! Sunday night was so much fun!
i think purple monkey is not legit. the link takes u to a flash thing at albinoblacksheep
possey is Pete Wilson, Ysera_Shadowsong is Steph. If Purple Monkey doesn't identify themself, then he/she will be deleted and blocked. Please everyone make yourself known
WHITE GOWNS!! for girls!!!
Please don't block me...
I'm just not actually graduating with you, so I don't want to ruin anything. But, I still think you should get Bush.
But Mr. Glass would be so great too! I definitely say go for him!
ha, oh yeah. I forgot it showed my name like that. lo siento.
-Steph
ok. white robe thingys for the girls, class trip to NYC (we could see ground zero and all the different sights!)(and all the fun little get-togethers like movie nights, nike park fun and all!) For a speaker...i don't know about the tradition of having someone speak to you who doesn't know you...i respect it, but i would prefer someone who actually has a relationship with us. Someone who we know andreally respect! My choices are
1. Mr. Bronson
2. Jerry Bridges (he has spoken to us before and I've been really blessed by his books)
3. ?Mr. Mahaney?
(What do you girls think we should do for shoes?? I would really love cool white sneakers or some how dress up flip flops)
Okay, I kind of agree with your point, Courtney. It is nice to have someone we know speak to us. However, I remember at the FSP graduation last year, when Gregg Harris spoke, he didn't really know anything about them personally, but the stuff he said was so valuable that it didn't really matter. So let me rephrase what I said:
I would prefer to have someone outside do it, like John Piper or Jerry Bridges or someone like that. If not, I think Mr. Mahaney would be a great choice. However, the two I really would not like to speak for us are Mr. Harris and Mr. Bronson. Here's why: they have devoted their lives to teaching us how to live. We hear from them all the time. (I mean, basically every class with Mr. Bronson has him giving some kind of graduation advice anyways.) So we wouldn't hear anything new from either of them, just same old, same old (not that old is bad, it's just too familiar). So please not those two, anybody else is fine.
and I'm guessing that bricote_sin_bigote is Bryce, but remember, please identify yourselves. And Purple Monkey, we'd like to know who you are, even if you're not in the class. We won't block you, we promise (unless you make us really, really mad...:-P)
1. Mr Mahaney would be my number 1 choice
2. uh...other than that? Jerry Bridges is a good idea
3. Someone else really kool
We should have 1 class trip...as far as location...i would love to go to iraq but i don't think the feeling is mutual among the seinors...
um...NOT: Nebraska, Utah, or Iowa
I dunno, what are you going to want to do on your class trip? Hang out? Do specific strange activities you can only do in certain locations (i.e. using firearms)
-Chad
I got my third option! Dave Brewer!
um...you all can think about that...
-Chad
To clear things up, Purple Monkey posted with my name and said he was me. That was false, and the admin of this site (specifically Mrs. Hoover) is very displeased that Purple Monkey would continue in causing trouble after we specifically asked him/her to stop. So I will ask one more time: Purple Monkey, please identify yourself for real and then please stop commenting. Otherwise I will continue to delete all your comments.
I would love to have anybody like Jerry Bridges, John Piper, Mike Bullmore, Al Mohler - somebody who knows our church but isn't a part of it. I agree with Sam and I would love to have somebody different than the "norm." If it is a covlifer speaking it could be easy for it to sound "same 'ol, same 'ol" because we have heard them so often at CLC. Not that what they would say wouldn't be good or true, it just wouldn't be quite as special to me. Like, at Mrs. Bower's memorial, Perry Bowers talked for a little bit and it was so interesting to hear from a non-CLC pastor! He talked differently and captured my attention more. It wasn't like "Oh, yeah, I've heard this story before" it was like "Where is he going with this!" and I remember his testimony more than anyone else's! So, that is my thought on that...
White gowns, I guess -- I really do not care.
NYC would be fun -- expensive and touristy, but fun. I have always thought it would be fun to go to a big boardwalk, like Atlantic City or Coney Island, however, I think it might be a little, uh, worldly for a Senior Class trip. So I will keep thinking. There has to be something besides NYC and rafting!
-Kristen S.
as i'm reading all these post that say NY, NY, NY, i'm starting to think my anti-NY idea isn't gonna fly. so i'm throwin in my lot for a senior trip to NY. : ) in case u didn't know, T-Flubb is Taylor Maldonado but to respect mr. sammy, i shall sign my real (uncool) name.
-Taylor
All righty roo. I just took 20 minutes to read through everyone's comments. phew. That was long, but interesting. I love our senior class!!!
Ok, down to business:
Speakers:
1) Mr. Mahaney: cuz I have a HUGE respect for him and I know he will say very wise things. Also, cuz he's been such a means of God's grace in my life up to now, I would count it such a privilege to hear a personal challenge from him as I enter into my adulthood. (and I think that'd go for everyone else too)
2) Al Mohler: cuz he's rully rully smart. :)
3) John Piper or Jerry Bridges
But FAR above any other people, Mr. Mahaney.
White gowns, def. (good point, Steph!)
uh, sure, NYC, I guess...go with the flow...
Ok, so after considering i agree with steph. we should do white gowns! NYC also sounds so awesome! there would be a ton of stuff to do there.
and my speaker choices would be
(1) mr mahaney
(2) mr josh harris
(3) uhhh... i don't know, someone else cool.
i do agree with courtney, we should have someone who knows us, i think it would be more personal.
umm whoever said brewer.....u dont know him very well do u? lol seriously though i have a huge respect for the man but id rather not hear about fire alarms and grocery cartsm (not to mention microwaves) at my graduation. On a more serious note i still like robsaw's cruise but Ny would be ok as long as we were aloud to wander around 'Messin with people" pretending to be sktizofrenik etc that would be the best senior trip i can imagine. but hey i guess i can do that at the mall if i want...anyone wanna come lol
as for speakers, B-ryce mr glass is a great idea! thanks for bringin him up
ill go ahead and sign my name but it should be easy to guess,
David
David, you're just scared of Brew because you're always doing stupid things! If you'd just stop being stupid, you wouldn't have to worry about it.
-Chad
Scared of Brew LOL i think if theres anything i've proven its that i dont fear brew.......garret on the other hand....
...i apologize Zarcon no longer has any say in this...Sam feel free to block him if you want
i dunno who the flip Purple Monkey is but he's a...yeah...one of those
I apologize dave for any stupid comments Zarcon made about you
However! Wouldn't Brewer be awesome!?
-wyzdom
O.O
oh. my.
well I dunno know about the rest of you but I was thinking Brew too...i mean I want someone who's really had involvement and an impact in our lives.
-StephiE
oh guys, I just saw the pix Janelle took, they're really good!!! lol, it was worth all the umm...strangeness of the process :)
And the group ones are funny...... ie: James trying not to laugh...
-me
I would love to have Brew participate, but I would put him in the same category as Mr. B and Josh Harris as a little too familiar for the speaker himself.
and when do we get the pics?
Alright...I want to make a strong argument for Mr. Mahaney as our Senior Speaker (however I have no idea how successful I'll be, and just to warn you...my spelling is terrible).
You guys want someone whose godly, smart, well-known, knows us, and who we don't get to hear from very often...That's Mr. Mahaney. Okay Reasons to choose Mr. Mahaney as our Speaker:
1) Who better knows than he how to encourage us to keep the gospel the main thing as we head out into the world? This is the man who cared for our souls for almost all of our lives! Who has taught us to and continualy drawn our attention away from ourselves and back to the cross!
2)He has such a passion/vision for the next generation, and let's face it guys...that's us. He want's to see us reach the world with the gospel and I bet that if he speaks to us at our graduation he'll give us some good pointers on how to do it.
3)We never get to hear from him any more! I can't remember the last time Mr. Mahaney spoke and like my Mom says, "you don't want to miss an opportunity for a man like that to speak to you"
I know of nobody who is more humble or more visionary than Mr. Mahaney....You guys say that you want someone new and basically exciting...I say stick with what we know will help us, and give honor to the man who led our parents so well and who cares for us so much.
(Plus wouldn't it be a riot to have Mr. Mahaney speak to Mr. Harris at his "graduation?")
My second and third choices would be John Piper and Prof. Veath.
Okay... Moving on to the other topics at hand:
Gowns. I couldn't really care less which color we chose. However THE MOMS point was excellent and I think that we should benefit from there wisdom...I'm not crazy about having to buy 2 different graduation outfits.
Senior Trip. I was going to suggest that we all fly down to Mexico to visit my uncle, who's a missionary, as a Short-term team to help them with building a pastors colledge for mexicans. But as THE MOMS pointed out to me it's probably more than we want to spend (although definitely less than a cruise). So barring that I would REALLY prefer NOT to go to NYC! Why not Martha's vinyard or DC or some other Fun place? To me NYC is a big city with little to offer other than the statue of liberty and broadway... I am happy to be proved wrong, maybe James knows some other fun stuff.
Anyway :) those are my oppinions for what their worth.
Marjorie
just one thought on the whole mr. mahaney thing. will his schedule allow time for it? since he hasn't spoken to us on sunday in a while my guess would be that he is fully involved with SG and the like. don't hear what i'm not saying, i'm just pointing out the possibility that he won't be available.
-taylor
So, homies, i'm thinkin white gowns for the girls and for this trip dealio, i'm so up for NY... most def a broadway if we go. As for the speakerman... hmmm, maybe like R.C. Sproul? sprowwwwl. Yes please.
p.s. I've always wanted to leave a p.s.
yeah Sam, I saw the pix on Janelle's laptop. She's like, editing and converting all of em to B&W so we'll have both, uh, and i'm not sure when we'll get them.
and the whole trip thing, NYC is tons of fun... but if people want something other than just the city experiance we could always stay somewhere else up North and then do a day trip to NYC, see a broadway...all that.
-s
Hi guys! Wow, this is my first time on a blog. Pretty exciting!
My preferences for a speaker:
Mr. Mahaney seems like a good choice. He's watched many of us grow up, he led us for a long time, and he has been a consistent example of passionate love for God.
I would love to have Scott Somerville as our speaker. He is so passionate and love for God and has a heart to equip the next generation to follow God with all their strength. He would give very meaningful encouragement and exhortation.
Gene Veithe or Al Mohler sound pretty good too...
As far as the Senior trip goes, I'm really not in favor of NYC. Does anyone else have other ideas? (Hopefully ideas that are less pricy than Robby's cruise idea. You have good... and expensive.. taste Robby.)
I was thinking maybe we could go to Shenandoah (spelling?) in Virginia. Or, like Marj suggested, Martha's Vineyard or somewhere else up north?
Little things throughout the year, like movie nights or get-togethers at Nike, sound really good!
I think that the girls should get black gowns simply because the white gowns are REALLY sheer. The color of the dress underneath will show through and that looks pretty funny.
I can't believe that we are planning our graduation, you guys! It seems like we were just STARTING highschool! This is pretty exciting...
Rebecca
now, now fellas, lets remember that some of us will eventually have to pay for a car, insurance, gas and all that fun stuff. however, if mr. rob can point us in the direction of a "cheap" cruise (i previously didn't know those existed) than i and my fellow seniors would gladly head to the docks : )
-taylor
Though the time schedule may not work out for Mr. Mahaney, does that disqualify him for a choice? If he has a busy schedule than shouldn't he be our first choice?
Mr. Mahaney: As someone else said, GREAT encourager. Also he is very humble, God tends to work through humble people providing wisdom and direction. Lets not forget his age and experience, he was our sr. pastor
Mr. Brewer: Fun, encouraging, and as many of our men know, a great example of leadership. I think Dave has a strong grasp on what it feels like to be a teen and what important things we need to focus on. And as somebody else said: someone who has had a large impact on our lives
Ha, a cruise, wow lol. Go Robby. Honestly I'm up for whatever, I just want to encourage the girls to speak up and state their opinion
-wyz
"just want to encourage the g i r l s to speak up and state their opinion"
?
Robby, if you can find us a "cheap" cruise that would completely rock!!!! but uh... you might wanna start praying for a miracle...
or we could just build a few rafts and float out on the Atlantic and get stranded somewhere...that's what i've always wanted to do!! :-P
but uh, seriously i'm kool with whatever....well, almost whatever...ya'll want to do. Just being together somewhere's half the fun...
ugh. So, i am a little frusterated (sp, i know...) there are so many awesome deals for 3, 4 and 5 day cruises to bermuda, the caribbean, etc. Like, $149- $199 a person. However, once March, April, May and June roll around it goes up to about $500 a person. Seriously, $150 isn't bad, especially because some of them have ports in Baltimore and Virginia. But, alas, my dreams are squashed. (just kidding!)
Definitely the white gowns for the girlies...
Trip to New York would be really fun but like others have said lets do some other small things too, like just hangin out.
Speakers: someone new would be nice..mohler,Bridges,Piper,Bullmore...
just a quick question to everyone. all of us keep saying 'movie nights' but i don't know how 30+ kids can watch the same movie in someone's house (even if we stack the girls three high). it would be really cool if we all crashed a movie theater! but other than that, i can't figure out how to fit that many people in one place... unless one of you all have a secret in-home movie theater with a ginormous screen and seating for a small stadium. just a thought 8 )
-tAyLoR
Oh, I like Mark Altrogge. And Taylor, the Emelios have the ability to set up a very large outdoor theater, so that could be a way to do it. We could also rent the CLC auditorium, maybe:-P
I would pay to see Mr. Sasser talk to us all too. {D
Sam has a good point - there are ways of making a bigger screen outside where there's plenty of room. My neighbors even use a projector and project their movies onto the side of their house and use that as a screen. Audio is a different problem though....
And the whole cruise idea? Not my cup of tea. I can understand the excitement, but for some reason the whole idea reminds me of The Truman Show. Seeing the same people everyday doing the same things in the same locations...scary. The one upside would be that we would all see each other a whole lot more, rather than spread out all over a city or something.
Wow! I thought Robby was completely joking about the cruise idea! It sounds like a lot of fun... AND like we're asking for the moon.
Also guys, can we consider any other options for Senior trips? I don't want to automatically rule out all other options beside NYC or the..cruise.
Another idea for a get-together: could we do swing dancing at Glenn Echo?
Rebecca
I forgot to say that I like Mrs. Hartnett's suggestion of Chip Grange. He would be very encouraging and insightful!
Rebecca (again) :)
i just got back from swing dancing at glen echo and i highly suggest it!
-tAyLoR
ooooh, Nathan Sasser, Mr. 1600, he'd be good! But, I think my vote's still with Mr. mahaney.
Wow, just saw all this and took a long time to read through.
Speaker:
1. Al Mohler
2. John Piper
Two good men. I think we should have someone new like Sam said though I wouldn't mind having someone who's talked to us before.
Senior Trip: I dunno, anything works for me.
I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but I think girls should have white--I don't think it would look as good if we all had black.
since james brought up the clothes topic i guess i'll have to suggest the one i've been thinking about for DAYS now but have been too scared to bring up. here goes...(weird) what do u guys think of wearing black and white chucks for the guys and gurlz??? (i can't believe that I just suggested a fashion question!)
Taylor, I'm SOO with you on the shoes. The girls might kill me for saying that, but I'm definitely not the fluffy flip-flop type.
okay...going out on a limb...i like it! i like to be different! I would never wear the shoes again and i think they are hideous, but it would be super fun and def. different than the typical flip-flopness of graduation.
kool! yeah, i would def. do that!
wow! i didn't think people would actually agree! i think it wouldn't take away from the seriousness cause were're wearing those morge clothes (it's pretty much a black sheet they put over a dead person : ) anyway, i think it would distinguish our class but still be serious. i think flip-flops are very un-un-un-un-formal. much more than sneakers. just trying to shove my t-flubb style in there! this has to be a time of happiness not complaining cause u have to wear uncomfortable dress shoes...YUCK! taylor is very anti-dress-fancy-if-you-can-help-it... in case you haven't noticed: )
That is cool if it's cheap.
chuck taylors? oldskool basketball shoes. bryce has em. maybe a shoe store would give us a big discount if we bought 30 : )
Why do we all want to wear the same kind of shoes?
ok, if we HAVE to wear those shoes i will but i don't like them. but hey! like kristin said, they are hideous! thanks taylor... :) :)
so where is this cruise idea going?it seems like sam and robby are on board but where are the rest of us? i'm fine with whatever, i just wanna hang with everyone!
THat's true, 20 white and 5 blacks. :) Maybe the guys should wear the white ones... !) --that was a joke.
I don't know about the chucks cuz all the girls will have to wear dressy outfits and then chucks. doesn't quite fit together. Unless we didn't dress up...but then all of our families would be dressy and we wouldn't.
this is so confusing.
oh...Kate i love chucks!! my orange/red ones are my fave. shoes next to my skater ones.
anyways...
Britt, if us gals want to wear nice shoes to go with our outfits then we can do that, but just wear the chucks with the huge-graduation-trash-bags...uh pardon me..."gowns"
But the whole fluffy flip flop thing has been done too many times and...i dunno, i think it looks weird anyway.
speaking of the gowns, christina, if both the guys and g i r l s wear black it looks like we're all going to a funeral.
Ok, i agree with james on the gowns, girls should wear white! sry taylor but i don't really like chucks...im with lauren on wearing something a little more girly :-)not like 5 inch heels or anyhting somehting more simple...?
As far as the speakers go i have no idea, your ideas sound great though!
Class trip, i guess i don't really care either but i def. also want to do alot of little things throughout the year.
Ok, i'm definitely going to need some persuading on the chucks idea...then again im VERY much against fluffy flip flops as well...
lets be original without forgetting style, how about? ;) But if you can convince me otherwise (ech hemm...kristen, 80's birthday trip...) about the chucks...we'll see.
WHITE WHITE WHITE WHITE WHITE WHITE WHITE WHITE WHITE WHITE gowns for the girls!!! def no chucks please, either white flip flops (who says they have to be fluffy...?) or white heels :) NYC or a cheap cruise... JOHN PIPER as speaker... come on people, help us out here! the mere concept of more people voting for him invigorates our souls!
- nat & lauren
listen devon, lauren and nat(no e's). tell me ONE good reason not to wear really kool oldskool shoes? price? we could get a huge discount if we bought 30 at one time. SHOUT OUT TO ALL PEOPLE IN FAVOR OF CHUCKS... HELP ME DEFEND AGAINST THE CHUCK HATERS! to tell the truth...................(this is embarassing)................ i don't like chucks either : ( i just suggested it to generate some lively conversation cause i knew there were many who would disagree. i know, i'm bad..... but you gotta admit that it did add a little pizazz to your day : ) sorry!(but not really)
Taylor, you are such an instigator. For all you know i may have lost sleep over the hideous thought of having to wear those hideous boats on my feet for my graduation. i didnt, but i could have. there must be a bible verse somewhere about not stirring up strife. ay ya yay.
little brothers are such a pain.
ok! forget i said that and let's just be "normal" graduates that wear shiny dress and all the other "normal" stuff. (why did i bring that up???)
i don't think you decide. you just wear black right?
Just one comment about bright-colored or wacky shoes on graduation day: the photograph of all the graduates together will look pretty psychedelic if everyone has different-color-of-the-rainbow shoes. Shoes stand out 10X more when everyone is dressed in matching outfits!
