Okay everyone, please post with your name and just your speaker choice (please, no additional comments). Let's try to get some concensus going here on who you would want to speak at your graduation. Some great names have been mentioned since Mr. Mahaney isn't available, and the likelihood of Al Mohler and John Piper coming in is sketchy at best. Here's who some of you are nominating: Steve Shank, Dave Harvey, Mark Altrogge, Mr. Veith (Sam's favorite choice), & Bob Donohue. Anyone else? Give compelling reasons. Let's try to hear from as many of you as possible....and the sooner the better!

I really, really would love to have Mark Altrogge. First, I pretty much love all of the worship songs he has written. Second, I will probably never forget the times he spoke at the "HUB" at Celebration. I always left those meetings literally in awe of God. Many times messages are good or convicting but rarely have i felt "in awe" like i did when Mr. Altrogge spoke to us in 4th and 5th grade. So, that is my vote!
i guess i'll have to go with mr. altrogge cause i do remember him speaking at the "HUB" back in the day : ) and also because of the way that God has used him throught the music industry.

Mark Altrogge (because i know his kids real well and i really respect him) and then Bob Donahue (because i love the way he finds such engaging and creative ways to build us up as a youth ministry).
My vote is for Bob Donahue because i love him and the way he preaches with fervor and excitement...its contagious. Also because I'm at his church half the time because that is where my mom attends and he has led my family well. So thats my vote. hallelujah (how do you spell that??) and amen.

My vote is definitely for Bob Donahue. I admire that man so much for his humility and passionate pursuit of God.
Now, it would be really wonderful to have Al Mohler speak, but maybe that's too much to hope for...

whatever happened to Brewer or Bridges?
If Brewer is still an option lets get him, otherwise Jerry Bridges is an awesome speaker, but from the few you put up i like Donahue the best. He is very good at giving clear and convining points
So is Mr. Mahaney certifiably booked? If so my votes are:
1st Bob Donahue
2nd Gene E. Veith
3rd Mr. Altrogee
4th(if I have one) Mark Dever
Also, if we think we can get the money, why not invite John Piper, Al Mouler, etc.? Paper is cheap.
